280 and Hoover corridor’s Favorite Mexican Cuisine
Las Trojas Cantina, located in Brook Highland, is one of our favorite restaurants on highway 280. We are here to share with you the best menu items, atmosphere, and everything you should expect when visiting the delicious Las Trojas Cantina.
Atmosphere
First thing you notice when you walk in, lights! Big tables! Classic bar seating! And a whole lot of people having fun. Whether it is a crowded Friday night, or middle of the week, rarely is there a wait — even when the place is packed. So party it up at Las Trojas!
Meet your friends out for beers, celebrate a birthday, and have a famous Las Trojas Margarita. This is the place to do it. Enjoy plenty of seating and big booths and tables. Ample seating is hard to find on highway 280 and Las Trojas is an exception. The staff accommodates for party size by joining tables and there is always plenty of room because all the dining furniture seems oversized. The dining room is big and has a great celebratory vibe and the place is packed with TV’s for sports and events.
Food
Food is served quickly and is one of my favorite menu’s for excellent Mexican cuisine. Start with one of my favorite appetizers the large cheese dip. The chips at Las Trojas are delicious and you get lots of them.
When choosing your entree, everything in the Las Trojas Specialities is mouth-watering, deliciousness, especially the Alambres or my personal favorite the Fiesta plate. Bring your appetite – seriously. The amount of food they serve should be split between two people.
Here’s an insider tip you may not expect. Try Las Trojas seafood menu. If you love good seafood, Las Trojas is the place. Another thing I appreciate when I’m dining quick or if I accidentally fill up on chips and queso, there are tons of a la carte options here as well. Quesadillas, tacos, they have it all and at affordable prices.
Drinks
Las Trojas has a great bar environment. It’s a big classic bar which I love. If I want to sit and have a cold Modelo with a chilled mug, I go here. I would probably call it the best casual bar experience on 280 corridor. It has friendly staff who you get to know. You can spread out. Drinks are delicious and well-made. Margaritas are a big hit. They are massive! Try one – delicious. You might want to have a ride-share ready. :)
Would we recommend?
Absolutely hands down would recommend you visit Las Trojas. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in this $10-$20 price range on the 280 corridor. It is my favorite Mexican cuisine in our area and one I always recommend. This can be a quick a la carte meal or a sit down meal. Where Las Trojas shines is it’s party vibe and great staff. No wait, big dining room, TV’s, and great decor. They really can give you a great evening out celebrating any occasion with your friends and family. It’s always been a great experience for me.
History of Las Trojas
Las Trojas came to Brook Highland in 2017 and is an Alabama company. Quotes from the managers of Las Trojas who I spoke with today: Jefferson and Maria.
“The customers being happy at Las Trojas is what we care about most, always. They come here happy and we want them to leave the same way. The environment is our favorite. Often times people come in and spend 2-3 hours. We are proud of this.”
I personally suggested to them both that they have one of the coolest bars on 280 and Jefferson winked humbly and said thank you.
